My Father: his sincerity and simplicity hide his true greatness from the world but those who know him and learned from him know it and love him

R Meir Kahane: his beautiful writing and clear, no bs, messages found their way into my heart. His undying love for klal yisrael was attested to by all who knew him (including the most famous oheiv yisrael this half of the century, R Shlomo Carlebach). His fight for a Jewish state of Israel is an idealism to strive for and we suffer daily for not having heeded him. Underlying all this is an extremely high level of bitachon and Jewish pride based on Torah sources.

Dr Ron Paul: his unwavering idealism based on actual sources and facts parallels many things I learned about Orthodox Judaism but in the political sphere.
